Plot[]

While she continues to struggle to come to terms with her new responsibility, Narda catches a glimpse of a strange man. An unexpected person comes to Ding's rescue when a group of bullies arrives at their house.

Synopsis[]

Regina Vanguardia head to the anti-poverty center angered that such a new building was not earthquake proof. She immediately throws shade at Zaldy Vallesteros for it via her live broadcast. She joins the rescue operations. Her father watches the broadcast with great interest.

Ding Custodio points out to Berta that the flying woman was in the reportage causing her to wonder how that could happen given the stone was lost.

Darna is unable to transform back into Narda and wondering aloud how she could transform back into Narda, says her name and throws up the stone, with Regina nearly catching her. Brian looks for Narda and she shows up with the excuse that she's helped other folks in places they weren't.

Rolando studies some shards of Chrysalis he had found in the quarry, noting that none of the elements show up in the periodic table- definitely extra-terrestrial.

Narda wonders if she really could handle the responsibility of the stone, and realizes she can't. But though she may not, she can honor her mother in other ways, such as doing her best as an EMT.

In the evacuation center, the mayor introduces his son Noah Vallesteros to the crowd, and he gives them relief goods. Some of the townsfolk recognizes this as politicking.

Ding is approached by some men who have been bruised and injured. They say he had challenged them, which Ding denies. He is rescued by mysterious man who has been hanging around the town, who disposes of the thugs fairly quickly. Ding thanks the man and he introduces himself as Master Klaudio. The townsfolk are surprised because they believed him to be mute.

Noah continues to be fascinated with Narda.

Brian reports back to Regina that the man he was to find, the whistleblower Javier Toledo was actually the chief engineer of the building that fell, leading credence to his need to run or that he may have been "taken care of". Javier had actually been following his wife, who he saw enter the evacuation center. In a fit of uncontolled emotion, he causes an aftershock. Narda spots him from afar.

Regina admits to her aide Ali that she is very interested in Brian, which internally upsets Ali.

Continuity[]

  • This episode calls back to Rolando's trip to the quarry in the previous episodes, juxtaposing it with him doing research on Chrysalis and recording his findings.
  • Narda notes that the stone was lost in episode 2, and wonders if it's possible Leonor had also returned, which builds into stories for the next episodes.
  • Regina says "I guess nature has its way of exposing corruption", which foreshadows her future.

Behind the Scenes[]

  • The most polished version of her hero suit is used in most scenes, with a chrome belt. The back of the most final costume has no knobs but is fully adorned in the front.
  • This is the first time Ali had a line, despite having appeared with Regina in previous episodes.
  • This is the first time Rex Vanguardia is played by Richard Quan. In Episode 1 he was portrayed by a double in the shadows.

Errors[]

to be added

Notes[]

  • In the scene where [[Zaldy Ballesteros (2022}|the mayor]] introduces his son Noah, it appears that Andrei Abesamis seems to be checking him out repeatedly.
